The James town vision

These are the banners we exhibited at James town during the Chalewote street art festival. It sparked a very interesting conversation which we will bring to you shortly in the form of a video montage. While we wait for that, let the conversation continue. Tell us what your views are about these images. Please note that these are not urban design or architecture schemes, just artistic impressions of what the future could be so please don't criticize us for design. We just need to know your thoughts about the future of James town using theses as pictorial references.

Accratopia at Chalewote day 2

On the second day of #chalewote we managed to add a second exhibit for the Otublohun square. this time we just left the banners there while we went about enjoying the rest of the festival as well. It was very gratifying when we strolled past from time to time and saw crowds of people looking at our exhibits and interpreting them in their own ways. I think we manged to fascinate some people and upset some people and we are glad we did because like Bansky said,

“Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.”

We are working on sharing some of the responses we got from the two days of the festival soon. in the meantime, here ere are a some pictures from day two. You could also join the discussion that ensued and continues on twitter #Accratopia.

Accratopia at Chalewote day 1

Yesterday was amazing at Chalewote festival. Accratopia was there as planned and we got some very interesting interactions. We had people like Kobby Graham, Panji Anof, Sterre Mkatini, Akua Akyaa Nkrumah and so many wonderful people passing through and sharing their thoughts with us. It continues today. Pass through our mounts at the Old Kingsway building and the Otublohun square to share your thoughts with us. In the meantime, check out these pictures from yesterday. See you all. Off to James Town now.
